From humble beginnings more than two decades ago on the 'Slabtown Road' with just a couple dogs, a handful of ducks, some cats, three horses and a stray friend or two, the Lazy K Funny Farm is now in its 24th year of operation!
To all our new visitors and those we haven't been fortunate enough to greet right here in our dooryard, we roll out the green carpet.
For you who as yet are unfamiliar with the Lazy K, our 50+ acre farm is located in the southeast area of beautiful Aroostook County (aka The County, aka The Crown of Maine). We're just a hop & skip away from the New Brunswick province of Canada.
This is potato country. Best in the 
! Along with grains, broccoli, soybeans and canola; beef cattle and dairy farms, alpaca and red deer ranches, as well. Years before the LKFF set up shop at this locale, this land had been a dairy farm; but the milk cows are history, the fences and old barns long gone. Our pasture lands are in conservation programs with NRCS to promote wildlife habitat and upland bird management; our woodlands teem with moose, deer and black bear; our skies are filled with songbirds and the occasional majestic presence of a bald eagle gliding in the thermals. The air is so clear one could see forever and at night, you can just about touch the 
stars .
Pumpkins, sunflowers and Canadian Goldenrod are our main crops. The CG is fast becoming a new background statement in landscaping; tall stalk, bright yellow blooms, and not the allergen it is accused of being! Bees love it and Boblinks like nesting on the ground beneath it. So, if Nature's happy, all's well on the Lazy K.
